App logs are records of what an app did, such as errors and startup messages. They are stored in the Logs folder in your Library. For an app you have uninstalled, its logs are safe to remove. Keep logs if you need them for a support request, because support teams often ask for them.

~/Library/Logsin Finder. - Find the folder named after the app.

One-time purchase. Works on macOS 15 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Step 3: Check the folder
Open the app’s folder and look at what is inside. Log files are plain text, so you can open one to see what it holds.
If you are contacting an app’s support team, keep the logs until they reply. They may ask you to send them.
Warning: Do not delete the whole Logs folder. macOS and other apps keep their own logs there.
Step 4: Move the folder to the Trash
Select the folder and press Command and Delete.
Frequently asked questions
Do logs take up much space?
Usually very little. Logs are small text records, though some apps can create large ones over time.
Will deleting logs affect my apps?
No, for apps you have uninstalled. Logs do not hold your work. For apps you still use, the app creates new logs when it runs.
Why would I need logs?
Support teams use logs to find out why an app is failing. Keep them if you have a problem you are trying to fix.
